Why the Need?

The U.S. population is aging. Today, there are more than 46 million older adults aged 65 and older living in the U.S. In 2030, roughly one in five Americans will be classified as seniors (65 years old and over). This number is expected to grow to 90 million by 2050. This population is unaware of the resources they need to age successfully. At the same time, when searching for television programming either starring seniors or geared towards a senior audience, it is apparent the market is underwhelming.

The Solution

Senior Spaces is a reality TV show seeking to address the large gap between demographics and programming while offering an “edu-tainment” format. The show will introduce products, programs, and services available including for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Each episode chronicles the lives of seniors and their families as they face the challenges of aging. You will follow them through the decision-making processes to determine where and how they will spend the next chapter of their lives. Will they downsize and move to a smaller home? Transition to a senior living community, or age in place with safety modifications?

The show touches on nearly every aspect of their lives (housing, health care, social connection) and creates awareness of available resources (products, services, non- profit organizations)

Senior Spaces, hosted by Seniors Real Estate Specialist Bryan Devore, is seeking individuals and couples ready to share their journey of downsizing and embracing a new lifestyle.
